A custom link domain lets your Smart Links carry your own brand name, like link.yourbrand.com. This guide walks you through connecting a domain you already own, verifying it, and disconnecting it later if needed. You'll need access to your domain's DNS settings, so it's worth looping in whoever manages your hosting before you start.
What is a custom link domain?
By default, every Smart Link your influencers share uses the standard Endlss link domain. A custom link domain swaps that out for a subdomain you already own, so links look like they came straight from your brand.
A few things to know first:
You need to use a subdomain, for example, link.yourbrand.com. Root domains like yourbrand.com aren't supported.
You need to own the domain already. Endlss doesn't register domains for you.
Setting it up means creating a DNS record, so your IT team or hosting provider may need to help.
How do I add a custom link domain?
Start in your brand account and have your DNS details ready.
Go to Settings.
Under Integrations & connections, select Custom link domain.
Enter the subdomain you want to use in the Domain field.
Select ADD DOMAIN.
Copy the Type, Name, and Value shown under Add this DNS record.
Create that CNAME record with your DNS provider, such as GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or Route53.
Come back to Endlss and select CHECK STATUS.
Your domain shows as Validating until the record is live. Once Endlss reads it, we verify the domain and issue an SSL certificate automatically.
🔥 Hot tip 🔥 Verification usually takes two to five minutes after the DNS record goes live, though some providers take a little longer. There's nothing to check manually on the Endlss side, so you can close the panel and come back to it.
What happens to my Smart Links?
When the domain shows as Active, your custom domain is live and both new and existing Smart Links use it automatically. Your influencers don't need to do anything.
Links that were shared before the switch keep working, so nothing your roster has already posted breaks. Only the custom domain shows in Endlss from that point on.
Note: Your influencers won't be told about the change automatically. Send a broadcast message to let your roster know their links now use your branded domain.
How do I remove a custom link domain?
Select Custom link domain in Settings, then select REMOVE DOMAIN. Your Smart Links revert to the default Endlss domain.
Treat every custom domain link you've shared as broken once you do this. To remove the domain fully, you also need to delete the CNAME record with your DNS provider.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a domain I don't own yet?
No. You need to own the domain and have access to its DNS settings before you can add it in Endlss. Buy the domain first, then come back and set up the subdomain.
Can I switch to a different custom domain later?
Yes. Remove the current domain, then add the new one and repeat the DNS steps. Links using the old custom domain should be treated as broken.
